YouTube Magic

Most of you know that I like Josh Groban (and Andrea Bocelli), so when I saw this on ONTD I knew I had to post. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_T3P0RGsH0. Sorry, don't know how to embed.

Only Josh Groban could make such a topic amusing, even, hilarious.

Memories

Top Ten Ways You Know That You Have Adjusted to Life in Korea

10. You walk past the man sprawled on the sidewalk and without a second thought, pronounce it Soju moment #172.

9. You touch the grass to see if it’s real.

8. You jump off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic to avoid the cars/scooters on the sidewalk.

7. You don’t give a second glance at the dog running on the treadmill.

6. You touch your left hand to your right elbow any time you receive something.

5. You find yourself wondering if the striped shirt and flowered skirt really won’t go together.

4. Greeting someone is a complex manoeuvre that involves touching one’s left hand to right elbow whilst shaking the right hand and bowing.

3. You get most of your “new” furniture from the side of the road.

2. You do your shopping whilst on the subway.

1. You bow to the shopkeepers, the driver who lets you cross the road, the ajumas and ajushis in the market stalls, and this doesn’t end when you leave Korea.

Procrastination

Do you ever have those days where you have so much to do and yet nothing gets done? That's where I'm at. I have a paper & presentation about Chomsky and language due on Wednesday and haven't even finished reading the chapter on it. I can't find the books I want and well, if it weren't for the last minute nothing would ever get done. I always try to start these things like a week before they're due but I usually don't end up even beginning to write it until the day before it's due. The few papers that I did write ahead of time didn't turn out so well, so despite all my attempts to reform, I will probably always be a procrastinator.
